Privacy Policy

Asklify ("we", "us") provides a platform that lets businesses build AI assistants trained on their own content and deploy them on any website or application. This policy applies to our website, dashboard, and APIs. We act as a service provider (data processor) for the content and end-user conversations our customers run through Asklify, and as a controller for the account data of the businesses that sign up.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account data — your name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), and workspace/organization details.
• Billing data — plan, subscription status, and invoices. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never store full card numbers.
• Knowledge content — the documents you upload and website pages you connect, so your assistant can answer from them.
• AI conversation data — messages exchanged between your end users and your assistant, plus metadata like timestamps and the sources cited.
• Usage & device data — logs, IP address, and basic device information used for security, rate limiting, and debugging.

AI conversation data

Conversations between your end users and your assistant belong to you, the customer. We process them to generate answers, show you analytics, and operate the service. We do not sell conversation data. We do notintentionally use your content to train our own AI models. Requests sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses are processed according to those providers' respective policies and agreements. Content is kept separate per workspace (see our Security page).

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar local storage: strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and preference storage (e.g. light/dark theme). The embeddable widget uses local storage in the end user's browser to remember their conversation — it does not set advertising cookies.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how the product is used and where it can improve. We do not build advertising profiles and do not sell personal data to advertisers.

How we use data

• Provide, maintain, and secure the service.
• Generate AI answers grounded in your knowledge and show you analytics.
• Process payments and send billing and service notifications.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Sharing & subprocessors

We share data only with vetted subprocessors that help us run Asklify — cloud hosting, our payment processor, email delivery, and the AI model providers that generate responses. Each is bound by contractual data-protection terms and processes data only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your workspace is active. When you delete content it is removed from active systems promptly and purged from backups on our regular backup rotation. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize personal data after a short grace period, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage most data directly in your dashboard, or contact us to exercise any right. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

International users

Asklify is operated from India and may process data in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that your data may be processed where we and our service providers operate. Where required, we take appropriate steps to protect your data during such transfers.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed toward children under the applicable minimum age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to account owners.
